Available Aramark Positions:

Applications can be picked up in the Zoo's gift shop from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Please contact Wayne Adams (757-441-2374 ext. 255) for more information. Norfolk Food Handlers Certificate required for all the below positions.

 

Stand Worker  

Prepares and portions food items (e.g., desserts, salads, and beverages); sets up food items, condiments, and utensils for cafeteria line or serves food; maintains an adequate supply of Trays, utensils, Soda Cups, etc. Cleans cafeteria and dining room areas. Keeps equipment, utensils, counters, refrigerators, and storage areas clean and orderly. Performs front- and back- of-the-house service, food preparation, and sanitation duties.

 

Supervisor Inventory Controller

Trains new hourly workers in their duties and directs their work. Responsible for leading others in task or function through prioritizing and scheduling of work. Directs employees to keep equipment, utensils, counters, refrigerators and storage areas clean and orderly. Directs employees to perform both front and back of the house service, food preparation and sanitation duties. Assists with Closing out registers nightly and Daily and Monthly inventories. Retail Cashier  

Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise. Performs any combination of the following tasks to receive, store and distribute materials, and products within establishments. Assists with Closing out registers nightly and Daily and Monthly inventories.

 

Server

Performs table service duties for catering event, such as serving food and beverages to patrons, making suggestions and answering questions with regard to food preparation. Performs any combination of the following tasks to restocking of buffet lines, beverages and replenishing ice distribute materials, and products needed for event. Assists with Closing clean up duties .

Concession Cashier

Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and food merchandise. Performs any combination of the following tasks to stock, store and distribute materials, and products within establishments. Assists with Closing out registers nightly and Daily inventories.
