Kids and Family ProgramsAnimal Crackers | Family Snoozes | Zoo Tales The Virginia Zoo has exciting education programs for families. For more information, call (757) 441-2374, ext 229. Note: The Sunday, March 21 session is full. Make your reservations now for the next session on April 18! Parents and preschoolers are invited to explore the natural world with us and our animal friends. We'll read a story, make a craft, and meet some of the animals up close and personal. The 45-minute sessions are for ages 2 to 5 years old. The cost for one session is $14 for members/$18 for nonmembers for one parent and one child. Registration for additional children is $5 each. The cost for all three sessions is $33 for members/$45 for nonmembers for one parent and one child. Session registration for additional children is $4 each. Pre-registration is required. Join us every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. for story time at the Zoo. Enjoy a great book and possibly meet an animal or two. Locations and stories will vary. Check flyers at the ticket booths on Tuesdays for locations inside the Zoo. Zoo Tales is included with Zoo admission. Zoo Tales may be cancelled without notice due to factors such as weather.
