Virginia Zoo

Tickets are on sale at the Zoo's Membership Office. You also can order by phone by calling (757) 441-2374, ext. 253 or you can go online to www.virginiazoo.org to download a ticket order form. Fill out the form and fax or mail it to the Virginia Zoo. The fax number is (757) 441-5408. The mailing address is Rock ‘n Roar Tickets, The Virginia Zoo, 3500 Granby Street , Norfolk , VA 23504 .

How will I get my tickets?

We can mail your tickets if you order them by April 12. You can pick up your tickets at the Zoo's membership office, or you can pick up your tickets at “Will Call” the night of the event.

What should I wear?

Rock ‘n Roar is the wildest party of the season. We encourage guests to wear their most creative and elegant animal attire. We will have a costume contest to name the King and Queen of the Jungle! Keep in mind as you plan your attire for the event, this is an outdoor venue under our tents.

What does “creative animal attire” really mean?

Some people come in creative evening wear (animal prints and more). Others come dressed for an after hours spring garden party – everything ranging from suits, dresses to business casual. But we encourage you to have fun with the animal theme!

What will be happening?

Rock ‘n Roar features the music of Butter, a local band favorite with fun music that makes you want to dance. We will have food from the area's top restaurants and a silent auction with unique animal-themed items. The lion exhibit will be lit so you can see our stars, cubs Granby and Neka.

What restaurants will be there?

To date, our restaurants include Atlas Grill and Bar, Sterlings, Roger Brown's Restaurant and Sports Bar, Bobbywood, Sugar Plum Bakery and many more.

What kind of auction items will you have?

We'll have things you'll never find at other auctions:

Original elephant art created by the Zoo's own girls Monica, Cita and Lisa
Dung Doodes by artist Eric Eason sculpted from elephant dung and shaped into amazing art
Virginia Zoo experiences including feeding giraffes, meeting the lions, making rounds with the Zoo veterinarian and more
