African Village Restaurant - Spring and Summer Schedule The African Village Restaurant is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The restaurant is located in the Zoo's Africa section. Beastro Snack Bar - Spring and Summer Schedule The Beastro Snack Bar is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The restaurant is located in the Zoo's barnyard. Wheelchair and Stroller Rentals Wheelchairs and strollers are available for guest rental. The fee is $10 and guests receive a refund of $5 when they return the equipment. The rental booth is located across from the Gift Shop. Picnics Please note that outside food or drinks are not allowed inside the Zoo. If you want to have a picnic lunch, consider visiting Lafayette Park, just outside the Virginia Zoo. Located at the intersection of Granby and 35th Streets, the park features picnic shelters and a new playground. For information about this park or the City of Norfolk's Department of Parks and Recreation, visit www.norfolk.gov/rpos. If you leave the Zoo for your picnic, you may re-enter on the same day by showing you admission receipt at the ticket booth. Holiday Closings
