TIMELESS
MEMORIAL PLACED AT ZOO
TO
HONOR BOY SCOUT JACKSON FOX
WHAT:
Opportunity
for live coverage of the Jackson Fox memorial dedication
at
the Virginia Zoo.
The
Fox family of Southampton County will honor their late son, Jackson
Fox with the dedication of four bronze animal statues. Jackson
was tragically killed in a car accident last November while returning
home form a Boy Scout event in Blackstone.
The
dedication will be led by Paul Fraim, Mayor of Norfolk
along with the Fox family and zoo
executive director, Greg Bockheim . The family
is expecting approximately 250 guests for the dedication.
Jackson
's love of animals inspired this timeless
memorial which was made possible through generous donations from
family, friends and business leaders. The climbable bronze statues,
costing more than $53,000, stand 4 to 6 feet tall and will be
placed throughout zoo grounds. Each will be accompanied by a quote
from the family showcased on a bronze plaque.
