– The wildest event of the season is being held at the Virginia Zoo,
and everyone is invited! Rock ‘n Roar (formerly known as Zoo to Do)
is an annual event supporting the Virginia Zoo and will be held Saturday,
April 26 from 7:00 p.m.
to 11:30 p.m.
at the Zoo, which is located at 3500 Granby
Street in Norfolk
.
Rock
n' Roar is a celebration of animals and animal art. Activities will
include live music by local band favorite, Butter , a zoo silent auction
featuring unique zoo-themed items (original artwork painted by the
zoo animals, zoo experiences and elephant dung art!), tasting from
area restaurants, viewings of the lion exhibit (after all, it's the
cub's first party!), costume contest, performance by Mosaic Steel
Orchestra and appearances by the Calendar Girls of Westminster Canterbury.
Tickets
are $40 for Zoo members, City of Norfolk Government employees and
active duty military, and $50 for the general public. Attendees must
be age 21 or older. Tickets may be ordered online at www.virginiazoo.org

Sugar Plum Bakery, The Melting Pot, Verizon Amphitheater Catering,
Virginia Zoo Catering, and Wasabi.
