he Virginia Zoological Society accepts gifts of goods or services to further the Virginia Zoo's mission.

In-kind gifts, or gifts of goods, allow us to spend our money only when we have to! The Virginia Zoo maintains a Zoo Wish List to let the community know some hard-to-find (or hard to purchase!) items that we need. If you are interested in contributing an items on our wish list or would like to know if we need an item that you have (even if it's not on the Wish List), please contact us. And remember - gifts of goods are tax-deductible also!

Services, such as legal, accounting, and marketing advice and counsel, are always appreciated and arrangements can be made by contacting the Development Office.

We rely on donations, monetary or in-kind. Our current wish list is:

• Portable airplane/truck scales, Road Runner type with 10,000 pound capacity pads
• Ultrasound unit with rectal probe
• Double jacketed canvas fire hoses and nozzles-coarse threaded
• Microscope with camera and attachments (for photomiscroscopy)
• 50 cubic yards of Marl (substrate for the goat yard)
• Close circuit camera with recorder
• Camping accessories - 6-8 person tents
• New VCR and monitors (used for nighthouse viewing)
• 35mm camera and film
• Laser printer
• Computers (Pentium processors only) for student use in the education center
• Digital camera
