Virginia Zoo Job Fair Saturday, February 6
Job Hunters Can Go On Safari to Find Seasonal Positions

The Virginia Zoo is throwing a safari for job hunters with its Job Fair on Saturday, February 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Zoo’s Education Classroom.

The Zoo is seeking applicants age 16 and over for seasonal and part-time positions in retail (gift shop, etc.) food service and membership sales.

“A lot of support is needed to create a great guest experience,” says Greg Bockheim, executive director of the Zoo. “We’re looking for friendly, energetic people to work in key areas that serve these visitors.  During our busy season, tens of thousands of people come to the Zoo each week.”

First round interviews may be conducted onsite for retail and food service seasonal positions. Applicants interested in membership sales are asked to bring a resume. All successful applicants will be required to complete a background check. Some positions will begin immediately. Others will start on a staggered schedule as required. The job fair features food service, retail and membership sales positions only and will not include jobs in animal care or other Zoo departments.

The Virginia Zoo Education classroom is located to the right of the Zoo’s front entrance. For more information, click here.
