Zoo Boo 2011 has Moved to Sunday!
The Virginia Zoo’s annual Halloween event, Zoo Boo, is moving to the rain date, Sunday, Oct. 30.
The weather for Saturday now calls for steady rain all morning and continuing showers in the afternoon, but Sunday is supposed to be beautiful and should be more fun for everyone.
So, join us Sunday for a wild and spooky good time filled with costume contests, haunted hayrides, a Train of Terror, animal pumpkin smashing, creepy candy stations and much more!
ZooBoo tickets are no longer available for purchase online. You may still purchase tickets in advance by visiting the Zoo Membership Office before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 28.Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event.
FAMILY FUN DAY
Sunday, October 30, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Members (age 2 and up): $6
Nonmembers (age 2 and up): $11
Children under 2: Free
Our animals will be out in their habitats, receiving visitors as usual, but there will also be animal pumpkin smashing, costume contests and, of course, trick or treat candy stations.

FRIGHT NIGHT
Sunday, October 30, 6 p.m - 9 p.m.
Members (age 2 and up): $5
Non-members (age 2 and up): $8
Children under 2: Free
Zoo Boo takes on a more sinister tone, focused on thrilling adults and older children. There will still be costumes and candy, but there will also be the Train of Terror, Haunted Hay Ride and more. It's so scary, we have to put the animals inside!

The Zoo will close at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 30 and reopen at 6 p.m. for Fright Night.
Green Halloween donated many of the treats the Zoo will provide at Zoo Boo, which use sustainable palm oil or are palm oil free, helping protect the natural habitat of orangutans and other threatened species.
